Overview & Highlights

If you're in the Subang Jaya area and craving a flavorful meal, Nam Heong Chicken Rice at Main Place Mall should be on your radar. Nestled conveniently at LG-32, Jalan USJ 21/10, this chicken-centric eatery has gained a loyal following for its delightful offerings and vibrant atmosphere. With a phone number of +60 12-691 3699, reaching out to them for takeout or reservation is a breeze.

The restaurant shines with its signature chicken rice, which many have noted retains a traditional flavor profile that you simply can’t miss. Diners have shared experiences of the chicken being tender and the rice cooked to perfection, always complemented by a side of flavorful soup. Reviewers like Cheah KM praised their promotion of two plates for RM20, calling it a worthwhile deal that doesn’t skimp on quality.

As you step into the bustling atmosphere of Nam Heong, you'll find the layout spacious enough to accommodate both quick meals and family gatherings. Pinkblanket26 appreciated the overall dining experience, mentioning that the halal menu makes it a great option for everyone. The noodles are often highlighted for their delightful chewiness, providing a nice pair to the expertly cooked chicken.

For those looking for a relaxing afternoon spot, Bryan Lee recommends visiting during tea time. This venue offers enticing promotions from 3-6 PM daily, featuring their renowned white coffee and crisp toast served with a side of kaya, although the kaya itself has received mixed reviews. The ambiance can be a bit lively, with a few patrons commenting on the volume of music, which may detract slightly from the dining experience.

While there may be little quirks regarding service and cleanliness, such as the proximity of the kitchen to the dining area noted by some guests, the hardworking staff, notably a waitress named Woon Ting, ensures that service remains attentive and friendly.

In summary, Nam Heong Chicken Rice at Main Place Mall delivers a solid dining experience with its combination of traditional Malaysian flavors and a welcoming environment. The balance of tasty dishes, along with attractive promotions, makes it a spot worth revisiting. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick meal or a leisurely tea time, this place has the potential to satisfy your cravings for delicious chicken rice and more.

Tried this place recently—overall, not bad. The food was flavorful, the noodles were nicely chewy, and the coffee had a solid kick to it. However, the pricing felt a little on the higher side for what was offered. Service was decent, but having the kitchen and a stack of dirty plates right next to our table did take away from the dining experience a bit.

Located inside the mall, Main Place. Spacious place. We had decent dining experience. Ordered their signature dish and it was good. We enjoyed the whole experience. A good place for a quick meal and it's halal as well. Price is ok and the service is fine too. Recommended.

Went for the promotion of 2 plates for RM20. Worth while promotion. Glad that Nam Heong chicken rice still maintained the traditional flavor and quality of food. Service is super, I noticed a girl (waitress) is very hardworking, always on her toes so I enquired her name which is Woon Ting. Unfortunately the music is very loud , and as I sat near the speaker, it’s louder.

If you’re ever planning to look for a place around Subang area to have your tea time, this would be one of my top recommendations. From Monday to Sunday, 3-6pm, they provide some wonderful offers that’s so hard resist. Their white coffee is great, glutinous rice is decent, their soft boiled kampung eggs are pretty huge, and their toast bread is pretty crispy as well. Although their kaya is a bit on the average side, but in general really loved the place and environment. Myself and family have been paying this place a visit and their quality has been pretty consistent & barely drop. Would love to keep coming back and pay this restaurant a visit.
